Christmas market at Schönbrunn Palace is Number 1

The Christmas market at Schönbrunn Palace is the most popular of the 30 festive markets on offer in the Austrian capital.

That is according to a survey sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce and carried out by KMU Forschung Austria which polled 1,500 people in the city to get the result.

After Schönbrunn is the Adventmarkt Spittelberg, then the Adventzauber Rathuasplatz, Adventmarkt Karlsplatz, Christkindlmarkt Altes AKH, Maria-Theresian Platz, Schloss Belvedere, Weinachtsmarkt Am Hof, Freyung and finally the MuseumsQuartier.

And according to the study people from Vienna itself prefer Schönbrunn and the Adventmarkt Spittelberg – where is tourists and visitors from outside of the city prefer to go to the Adventzauber at the Rathaus.
