Top horse riders take their places for Vienna Masters

The Rathausplatz becomes the focus of the riding world when the "Global Champions Tour – Vienna Masters" the most prestigious show jumping series in the world takes place from the 20th to the 23rd September.

The preparations for the "Vienna Masters" are already in full swing. Overall 4,000 guests can join the event and watch the horse shows and competitions from three grandstands and a VIP area.

Famous horse riders such as Athina de Miranda, Monaco Princess Charlotte Casiraghi and Jessica Springsteen - daughter of Bruce, have confirmed their appearance at the event. The Viennese world famous Lippizaner horses of the "Spanische Hofreitschule" also get their chance to perform at the Rathausplatz this year.

Overall 400 people are working on the construction for the event on the Rathausplatz to make space for 260 show horses being transported to the location in about 100 trucks.

Parts of the event are open to the public for free but after 6pm tickets have to be bought to watch the competitions.
