Austria Wien beat West Ham in Pre Season Friendly
Austria Wien beat British Premier League team West Ham 3-1 in a pre season friendly opener on Saturday in Vienna.
A record 7150 fans came to the Generali Arena to watch Austria Wien take on the Premier League giants in the extreme hot temperatures in Vienna at the weekend.
West Ham opened the scoring when Sam Baldock scored after only four minutes. But goals by Rolans Linz, Dare Vrisic and Tomas Jun for Austria Wien ensured a victory for the Austrian club.
Despite West Ham’s early goal the game ended 3-1 for Austria Wien.
Before the game kicked off fans were able to get autographs and photos with players and management.
West Ham have been pre season training at a training camp in Bad Waltersdorf in Styria, Austria.
