Carnival with animals at Schnbrunn

The Schnbrunn zoo in Vienna invites their small visitors to dress up in costumes for carnival on 10 February (Sun). Many children disguised as their favourite animals celebrate the carnival at the zoo every year.

"I am always astonished how creative the costumes are. Whether pandas, tigers or elephants parents come up with something new every year", says the director of the zoo Dagmar Schratter.

From 13.00 children will have the possibility to make their own animal masks or to get their faces painted in the ORANG.erie.

There will also be a parade through the zoo, where children can show off their costumes and masks. Children, who wear the most creative costumes, will be rewarded.

It has become a tradition at the zoo to serve the popular carnival dessert "Faschingskrapfen" and (non-alcoholic) "Kinderpunsch".

It is not necessary to register for the carnival.
