Open exhibition at Klasan Galerie

The contemporary Klasan Galerie in central Vienna will hold an open exhibition of expressionistic collages from visual artist, mathematician and Vienna Technical University professor Christoph Überhuber from 15 November.

The collages in Überhuber's "Kunst/Köpfe" collection combine photography, graphics and mixed media. His work applies digital technology to modern art in order to create contrasting collages which explore social, political and cultural themes.

The exhibition will run until 22 December 2012 and will be open Monday to Friday from 9am until 6pm at Dominikanerbastei 19 in the first district (nearest station Schwedenplatz).

The Klasan Galerie functions as both a modern art gallery and an advertising agency, so visitors to the gallery can see around 100 works of art in a work environment and get an idea of how the pieces would then fit into their own offices or homes.

The Klasan Galerie has a keen interest in the international art market, supporting artists from around the globe.

In addition, this year the gallery will hold its own Christmas market for the first time. This market will run from 20 November 2012 and offer pictures and sculptures divided into three price categories; €70, €250, €400.

For more information about the Klasan Galerie see www.klasan.com for information in English and in German. For more information about Christoph Überhuber's work visit www.ueberhuber.at
