Pop sensation Katy Perry will rock Vienna next month, it has been announced.
Online music and events platform Britishrock.cc reports today (Thurs) that the 25-year-old singer from Santa Barbara, California, USA, is set to hit the stage at Vienna’s Arena concert hall on 6 October.
Perry rose to fame with "I Kissed a Girl" in 2008. The song topped the charts in several countries in the world before she managed to repeated the triumph with follow-up single "Hot n Cold". Both songs reached number one on the Austrian Singles Chart.
Her third album "Teenage Dream" was released earlier this month.
Perry’s performance of her two biggest hits sitting in a huge shell sailing down from the roof of Vienna City Hall is regarded as the highlight of the opening ceremony of last year’s Life Ball.
It was also announced recently that Danish pop siren Aura Dione will come to Austria for two concerts (Vienna, 23 November; Linz, 24 November) before US pop-punk band Good Charlotte will perform in Vienna on 21 January 2011.
