Karl-Heinz Grassers penthouse still for sale

The penthouse of the former Financial Minister Karl-Heinz Grasser is still for sale. "Christie’s" offers it for a rent fee of 11 million Euros.

On the website of "Christie’s" one can have a look at the 400 square metre penthouse. Mr Grasser only has the right to rent the penthouse on Babenbergerstraße in Vienna. The owner is the insurance company Wiener Städtische (VIG) who receive a monthly rent.

A spokesman of "Christie’s" said that the price of eleven million Euros will not change. Property like that takes some time to be sold.

Mr Grasser invested about 4 million Euros in the extension of the apartment. He signed the contract for the apartment in the autumn of 2005.

According to media reports, the financing of the penthouse is connected to the worldwide financial transactions of Mr Grasser and is apparently subject to investigation.
