Teddy docs help kids

A teddy bear hospital is helping children get over their fear of hospitals and doctors.

Medical students are today using teddy bears and other soft toys at the Medical Chamber in the Weihburggasse in Vienna, Austria, in order to teach children about going to the doctors with the aim of making them less scarred of the experience.

The teddy bear hospital is an international project set up by medical students which has taken place for numerous years in various countries.

The teddy bears interact with the children in a playful manner with the aim of making them less scared of medical personnel and hospitals.

The teddy bear hospital is open on 29th and 21st December all day until 16.00 and entrance is free for all.

Children can bring their own favourite soft toys to get treatment from the teddy bear docs in the teddy hospital.

Children can learn about ECG's, xrays, operations and first aid.
