Christmas Niederösterrich-CARD offer

A special Christmas edition of the Niederösterreich-CARD has been released entitling users to 3 extra months of savings and offers in Lower Austria and Vienna.

The Niederösterreich-CARD offers users free entry to over 300 tourist destinations in Lower Austria and savings of around 2 Euro on entrance fees to selected attractions across the country. It also entitles card holders to savings when booking train journeys with ÖBB.

Minister for Tourism in Lower Austria Dr Petra Bohuslav said: "People who want to give those they love a year of culture, nature and fun to be remembered, should get them the Christmas edition of the Niederösterrich-CARD.

"Unlike the standard card which lasts 12 months, this Christmas edition lasts for 15 months. Holders of the Christmas Niederösterreich-CARD can discover over 300 attractions from 1 January 2013 until 31 March 2014."

Managing director of the Niederösterreich-CARD intiative Christiane Windsperger MSc said: "The Christmas edition of the Niederösterreich-CARD is available until 31 December 2012 from the online shop at www.niederoesterreich-card.at or from the information hotline on 01/535 05 05. In addition, it can be found at all Raiffeisen banks in Vienna and Lower Austria and also at numerous newsagents stores in both Vienna and Lower Austria."

For existing card holders there is also a Christmas voucher available to extend the validity of their Niederösterreich-CARD.

Prices for the cards are as follows:

New members NÖ-CARD (valid from 1.1.2013 until 31.3.2014)
53 Euro for adults
24 Euro for children and young people between the ages of 6 and 16

Extensions for previous NÖ-CARD holders (valid from 1.4.2013 until 31.3.2014)
49 Euro for adults
22 Euro for children and young people between the ages of 6 and 16

Children up until the age of 6 are entitled to free entry.
