A total of four demonstrations are set to bring Vienna's busy Ringstraße to a standstill this weekend.
The Ring will be closed to traffic on four occasions throughout the day to allow the demonstration to take place and motorists are being asked if possible to avoid driving in the city centre.
Today (Friday) will also see around 1,000 people demonstrating against the troubles in the Middle East. They will march from the State Opera House round the ring to Ballhausplatz.
Later this afternoon 350 people will march form the Opera to the Turkish Embassy in the Prinz-Eugen-Straße against the Kurd Problem in Turkey.
On Saturday around 500 people have registered to take place in a demonstration march against the deaths in Syria, Palestine and Burma and will also march along the ring.
Also in the afternoon, a march will take place from the Asylum court in the Laxenburgerstraße where people living in the asylum centre in Traiskirchen will protest against their accommodation. They will march through Favoriten, over the Wiedner Hauptstrasse to the Ring and will end up in Sigmund Freud Park in front of the Votivkirche.
Radio Wien will keep people updated on the current traffic situation and road closures.
Motorists are however being advised to either be patient or avoid the city centre.
