Cop caught stealing tyres
A policeman from Slovakia was caught after going on a thieving tour though Lower Austria.
The 25-year-old cop was caught with eleven wheels and tyres in his car after a woman in Wiener Neudorf noticed two men loading wheels into a car in a garage.
The woman who suspected something suspicious noted the number plate of the car and notified police.
Police then stopped the car and found the fellow policeman from Slovakia at the wheel of the car, and that he had an accomplice with him.
It is thought that the men are part of a four man gang who specialise in theft of motorbike wheels from underground park garages.
It is thought the gang are responsible for five coups in Vienna and Lower Austria over the last year-and-a-half. It is estimated the goods have been worth around 45,000 Euro.
The men were arrested.

Army officer sentenced over getting recruits to lay flooring at his house
The state court of Vienna sentenced a second lieutenant of the Austrian Army to nine months in jail due to misuse of authority. He had three recruits lay the flooring in his own house.

A ten-year-old girl was severely injured in a car accident in Vienna-Margareten yesterday (Wed). A car hit her on a zebra crossing. It remained unclear whether the girl or the driver was supposed to wait.
