The self-styled king of Europe's biggest beer festival has told how he trains for Germany's Oktoberfest - by downing litres of lager and feasting on sausage.
Austrian businessman Georg Mayrhofer, 45, claims not to have missed a single day of the event in Munich for the past 26 years.
He reckons he blows more than 4,000 GBP in 16 days on beer, sausage and chicken and even brings a note from his long-suffering wife Eva to prove he can be there.
Mayrhofer, from Vienna, says his best ever year came when he downed 111 litres of lager over two weeks.
"But when it was over, I had myself checked out by my doctor and I didn't drink anything stronger than water for six weeks," he confessed.
Army officer sentenced over getting recruits to lay flooring at his house
The state court of Vienna sentenced a second lieutenant of the Austrian Army to nine months in jail due to misuse of authority. He had three recruits lay the flooring in his own house.
